The easy battery charging thing doesn't work out. Spektrum batteries and chargers do the same thing. Plug it up and it charges automatically. All while using IC5 plugs that'll work on any other battery or charger. Traxxas wants your money. All your money. That's why i hate them.

I think it’s not about the money with the upgrades I think people just enjoy making something not so great well, great. If you enjoy modding and making your own things then it makes much more sense getting this over a more expensive crawler just to upgrade it

I love my slash 2wd I have upgraded it pretty much to where it’s not stock and love it but I have been lookin into Amara recently because I want to get into 8s slash is on 3s and it’s pretty quick but I want to take jumps and be able to do tricks

Bro… I have the exceed 1/8 mad torque and been wanting to do the exact same and brushless swap it and had this fantasy that it’d be an insane rock bouncer but I have the same gear issue . Nitro is great, got me back in the hobby after i quit because 2wd buggy went mid motor and I just don't like it. Hard to beat the smell and sound. Traxxas nitros are a decent starting point but you don't learn as much as you would with say the kyosho mp10 rtr. I have both the nitro versions of the rustler and slash. I prefer the slash. The 3.3 feels more reliable. I also like that nitro feels like it gives power like a real car. Side note: you can prime the engine without having to dry crank it by pinching the exhaust line at the tank connection and popping the tank lid several times. I do it until i see fuel enter the line and then i do it 2 more times.

Hell yes brothers! My all aluminum TT-02 that's been broken for well over a year just got fixed and added some new tires. The seasons are changing, time to go hoon around again. Thinking of putting a racing semi body on it. Thoughts?

My SCX6 JLU suddenly seems quaint. I still like my chances in a tug of war tho.
